Academic goal(s): How can confessional poetry help us express ideas and beliefs we wish our teachers knew? Specific objectives (stated in observable and/or measurable terms): a. Students will use analyze and discuss a poem in an appropriate group discussion. b. Students will use literary elements to dissect and discuss a confessional poem. c. Students will use poetry to express their own beliefs on what they wish their teachers knew about them.
